More stained stuff

I promised to show you the other thing that I made in my stained glass class. Here it is..................................
The hills form a backdrop to the town

Just in case you want to know, the smaller pieces of glass are joined by soldering and the resultant 'panes' are held in lead strips.

I was quite pleased with my first attempts. I am now ready to accept commissions!

Next term I am NOT carrying on with stained glass. Instead I have signed up for woodwork.

Other news......

My grandson, Louis, has returned from the States and we went to visit him recently. He is very cute and bright - 10 months old and just starting to climb the stairs. I am glad that I don't have to watch him do it!

Spring of course is very much sprung.

We went to look at the gardens of the local stately home, Madresfield. This was the house and family described in 'Brideshead Revisited'. We are hoping to revisit it when the house itself is open.

Talking of houses, we have managed to buy one! More news in due course.
